Cynthia believes every individual is capable of growth and connection. She applies a strengths-based approach to optimize clients’ values and abilities. She believes in solution-focused therapy and works collaboratively with clients towards their goals.
I’m Cynthia Cohen, a Pre-Licensed Professional with 5 years of experience. My work blends practical tools with a warm, relational focus: CBT to calm anxiety and strengthen coping skills; Solution-Focused strategies to build on what’s already working; and couples approaches like the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy to repair trust, deepen intimacy, and improve teamwork. I also bring a marriage-and-family lens to understand the broader system around you, so change truly lasts.
I work with couples who are struggling with relationship and marital issues. I also do therapy with individuals who are experiencing depression, bipolar, anxiety, and other mental illnesses. During initial sessions we’ll discuss your treatment objectives and collaboratively develop a treatment plan. Most of my clients see symptom improvements during the first months of therapy. If this resonates, I’d be honored to meet you. I offer sessions in English and welcome diverse identities and stories.
