Bry understands that recognizing a pattern and knowing how to change it are two very different things. She works with individuals who have spent years trying to make sense of their experiences, relationships, and the parts of themselves they struggle to understand.
Bry is a trauma therapist with a particular focus on complex trauma (CPTSD), attachment wounds, and the lasting impact of childhood experiences. She is especially interested in how early relationships shape the way people see themselves, connect with others, respond to conflict, and navigate their emotions. Her work often involves exploring deeply rooted beliefs, internal conflicts, and patterns that continue to show up long after the circumstances that created them have changed.
Bry uses parts work to help clients understand the different sides of themselves, including the ones they’ve learned to criticize, suppress, or avoid. Rather than simply focusing on changing behaviors, she helps clients explore why those behaviors developed, what purpose they serve, and what keeps them going. Her clinical interests include childhood trauma, emotional neglect, dysfunctional family systems, religious trauma, and the intersection of neurodivergence and trauma.
Her approach is direct, curious, relational, and individualized. Bry values honest conversations, meaningful insight, and challenging perspectives without judgment. She doesn’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach or that therapy should be limited to learning coping skills. Her work focuses on helping clients understand themselves more deeply, recognize the influence of past experiences on present relationships, and develop the confidence to make changes that reflect who they are rather than who they’ve learned to be.
